How we’re handling life in lockdown...
Hey everyone! For those of you who have been missing our events and curious about what the Leeds Digital Drinks team has been working on behind the scenes - we have something we want to share with you.
Our three new initiatives
To continue to support the incredible folk in the region, we’re excited to bring you three new projects that you can get involved in...

As we enter the 3rd month of social distancing, small businesses are really paying the price. The local businesses that make Leeds the wonderful place to live need our help more than ever to ride out this storm. In order to give back to the local community and to keep local businesses alive, we’re urging people to stand in solidarity with small business owners and show your support. We’ve launched Support Your Local Leeds, an online resource which brings together Leeds-based businesses. Shopping for a gift, have some free time to volunteer or want to make a donation? You'll find a way to help!

For the creators of today and innovators of tomorrow. The new hangout in Leeds for curious makers looking to unlock their imagination and launch faster. Want in?During the temporary pause of our physical events, we’ve decided to launch Leeds Digital Makers, a space for makers, creatives, developers, entrepreneurs, thinkers, (any type of digital do-er) to catch-up every fortnight over video-call. We’re all about creating a supportive, tight-knit group of creators looking to launch their ideas fast.

Our Leeds Digital Makers group is working on a new site called Freelancers of Leeds, aiming to showcase the personalities of different freelancers across the city. We’re wanting champion individual stories and faces, rather than focussing on their output. Are you a freelancer in Leeds? Eager to tell your story and gain some exposure online? We’d love to get you listed and help you get your name out there.
